The Land of the Sick

I'm not sick very often and I'm not a very good sick person. It is a good thing I live alone because I was pretty miserable. Everything hurt - my eyes, my throat, my head, my ears. Coughing was annoying and painful. I had trouble sleeping because I couldn't breathe. And nothing tasted good either! So I wouldn't have been very good company. Diva was nice to me however and snuggled as much as she could.

What I really had was a very bad reaction to whatever the optometrist used to dilate my eyes. When I woke up miserable in the middle of the night after my visit, I realized that this had happened the last time she dilated my eyes 3 years ago but I'd passed that off as a coincidence, thinking I must have just been on the verge of a cold. Now I know to find out what that drug is and never let anyone administer it again.

So I spent several days doing nothing but watching a full season of NCIS. And when I ran out of NCIS episodes, I watched some DVR'd shows. Then I was left with daytime TV since my eyes didn't really feel like reading and the computer seemed just too difficult. Did you know that Drew Carey is the host of The Price Is Right? And some guy named John O'Hurley is the Family Feud host. Who knew? And who can guess how come John O'Hurley looked familiar to me?

HE looked familiar because you have seen Spamalot?

Wasn't John O'Hurley the guy who threw up at parties all the time? No, wait, that was Potty McPukey. O'Hurley was Elaine's boss on Seinfeld maybe? The catalog guy that I can't think of the name of. Now I have to Google it.

You are both right. He is in Spamalot and I saw him but he was also J. Peterman on Seinfeld.
