Random Thoughts

1. Please let Iowa set the trend and have the Republican party nominate Huckabee because that should pretty much guarantee that there will be a Democrat in the White House soon.

2. I DVR'd* Letterman's return to Late Night. Robin Williams has to be the most ADD person in the universe. Thoughts zip through his mind at the speed of light. And he shares them all. No filter on that guy.

3. I'm ready for Spring.

4. I can't decide which of my letters to post next. Stay tuned.

5. Project Runway is back. Yay!

UPDATED: 6. I almost forgot. You heard it here. And if I thought I was old then...

* I wanted to put 'taped' but Brian says it isn't a tape so I correctly identified it as DVR. But now he has to 'push', not 'dial' the phone.

2. You can still say you "recorded" it which applies to tape or DVR. There is no good substitute for "dial" when you describe the process of entering the numbers for a phone call.

6. The previous post you linked to says of Obama, ".... you are watching the first black American president". If one parent is black and one is white, why is the child black? Couldn't we just as easily say he's just another white, male politician? It's most accurate to say he's potentially the first mixed-race President. Besides, Bill Clinton was the first black President.

2. How about "place a call"? I know, too long. Though I don't even really know if I use the word dial much anymore anyway. And it was Brian's fault - he started it.

3. Can't disagree on the race issue but he's gonna be identified as African American just because that's the way it seems to work. And I'll bet he would be given a hard time if he ever tried to assert he is white.

We are in Ohio and it is COLD. We want summer not spring.

"Dial" is the best.. Its also a good soap.

In Jily 2004 John wrote "..with a series of "I believe that ---" about helping the poor go to school, get health care etc. (I'm not critisizing, just observing.) He didn't give specifics about how these ideals would be accomplised,.." -- still true

Well.... John pointed out that was a keynote address not an issues statement. John was just saying that speech didn't let him know whether he was an Obama supporter or not. But he certainly has charisma and is inspirational. And you can find his stance on the issues on his website. There is enough available about his thoughts and plans to learn whether you agree with his strategy and ideas. And I'm just saying it is looking more and more like he might just have a shot at the White House.
