Question Answer
I am having trouble obtaining an Experimetrix account. What do I do? If you tried to register, but did not receive a login & password within 3 days, check your Spam or Trash folder in your email. If you still do not find it, try to register again (you must wait 3 days between attempts). If you still have problems, contact the Subject Pool Coordinator.
I do not have an email account - what do I do? All UNLV students have free Rebelmail accounts that they can use - activate your today.
The experiment says I need a CFO account to sign on in the computer lab. What is a CFO account? If you can log on to the computers in the open computer labs, you have already activated your CFO account. If you have not activated your account, go to one of the computer labs, such as CBC B131, and ask for help activating it. You can contact the Computer Help Desk (895-0761) for more info.
I have to cancel an appointment, but the system won't let me. You must cancel your appointment at least 12 hours before your scheduled appointment, or you will lose 0.5 credit.
I have a question about a study. Whom do I ask? Contact the researcher or experimenter directly. The phone # and/or email address is on the Experimetrix website, under the description of the study.
I missed my appointment. What do I do? Because you missed your appointment, you will lose 0.5 research credit.
The instructions say to visit "Supplemental Materials" for more info - where are they? On Experimetrix, click "sign.up", go to the experiment, and click "View Schedule" (this page lists the day/times for the experiment). At the top, it also tells you who is running the experiment, their contact info, where the experiment is, etc. One of the lines on that page is "Supplemental Materials".
I participated in an experiment but I have not received credit. If it has been more than 4 days since you participated, contact the researcher to ask that they record your credit. On-line experiments typically assign credit twice a week, and so it may take a bit longer for you to receive credit for these.
I cannot figure out how to attach a file. In most email systems, you must first open / compose a new message. Look for an icon / button for an attachment, or search through the toolbar at the top of the screen. At that point, you will most likely be asked for the file name. Browse through your computer / files to select your file-to-be-attached.
I completed an article summary, and I have not received credit. Because each article summary needs to be read, it may take longer for you to receive credit for summaries than for experiments. If it has been more than 7 school days since you completed it, contact the Subject Pool Coordinator.

If you still have a question, please email the Subject Pool Coordinator or ask your instructor for assistance.
