Question Answer
How do I award credit? Login to Experimetrix, go to “View Schedule” then “Past Awaiting Credit or Penalty”; click either credit or penalty for your participants and then “Apply Changes”. You can double-check to be sure credit was assigned.
I cannot make it to an appointment that I posted – what do I do? If possible, find someone else who can run the experiment. If not, and no students have signed up, simply cancel your appointment times. If students have already signed up and you cannot give 12 hours notice you must assign credit. In either case, please be courteous and notify the participants via email.
How do I cancel an appointment? Go to “View Schedule” then “Future Taken” and/or “Future Available”; check the box(es) next to “Remove” for any appointments you wish to cancel and click “Apply Changes” to complete your cancellation. Double-check “View Schedule” to make sure these changes have been made.
How soon should I administer credit or a penalty? It is recommended that you do this within 24 hours of an experiment appointment.
I have submitted my study to the IRB but have not yet received approval – can I begin collecting data? No.
What does it mean to “Select Lead Time”? You can have Experimetrix automatically delete any open appointments within a timeframe you set. For example, you can have any appointments that are still open 1 hour (or 2 hours, or 3 hours, etc.) before the appointment time removed from the schedule.
