HTML 151B Syllabus

This course is designed to teach students the basics of creating an HTML (HyperText Markup Language) document – the popular language for displaying information on the World Wide Web. Students will learn to:

Prerequisites: Pioneer or Internet account and the ability to log onto the account. But an experience in using a web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer is beneficial.

Course Materials: Programming the World Wide Web 4th Edition by Robert w. Sebesta - (ISBN: 0-321-48969-1).

COURSE ACTIVITIES:

All students will be required to do the course lab assignments covering: HTML basic tags, links, lists, tables, frames, forms, and scripting; complete a course design project; and take Two examinations (mid-term and the final exams).

GRADING:

Grades will be based on the course project (30%), midterm exam (30%), final exam (30%), and lab assignments (10%).
