Web Scripting: Syllabus

Course Description:

Incorporating programs written in scripting languages like JavaScript, JScript, and VBScript into HTML is the wave of the future. Adding scripts to HTML transform static websites into dynamic and interactive sites. In this course, students will learn and use the basic syntax for JavaScript, CSS, and DOM to create DHTML documents. With these languages and ASP.net (Active Server Pages) controls, students will be able to create web pages that interact with users to gather data/events, validate that data, make computations, or otherwise respond to the web site visitor's request. Prerequisite: Programming experience and CIT138 (new course name: CIT 151B) or consent of instructor.
