Welcome to the home page of Richard M. Beckman, NCARB, AIA.
Beckman is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he teaches Architectural Design Studios and courses in Sustainability and Contemporary Architectural Theory.
Sustainability in the building industry is concerned with developing products, buildings, and communities which are environmentally responsible and in harmony with mankind and the natural environment. The ideal sustainable project would enhance life's experiences and the environment, leaving behind a legacy of place that returns more to the earth than it consumes. For over 20 years Beckman has been an environmentally responsible designer. For a brief tour of four sustainable projects please begin by clicking on the list to the left.
